Wave Lumina wins big at AquaAction 2024!
Wave Lumina was recognized at the 2024 AquaAction Aquahacking Challenge — the first international edition of the competition, hosted in part by Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Michigan.
The challenge brought together entrepreneurs from the United States and Canada building technology to protect freshwater, across categories spanning microplastics, PFAS, lead, and nutrient cycling. Wave Lumina was recognized for its work on rapid, on-site PFAS screening — and its Contamination Field Screening Device (CFSD) approach to finding PFAS contamination in the field, fast.
The result is a milestone for the team and the mission behind it: making contamination visible on-site, so remediation can start sooner.
