Wave Lumina Joins the Activate Fellowship — Cohort 2025
Wave Lumina founder Vernon LaLone has been named to the Activate Fellowship’s 2025 cohort — joining a national community of scientists and engineers building hard technology to address the world’s most pressing challenges.
Activate’s 2025 cohort spans 47 fellows across 39 companies, selected from more than 900 applications, working on technologies across 14 industries. As part of Activate Anywhere — the program’s remote-based community first launched with the U.S. National Science Foundation — Wave Lumina joins the fellowship for a two-year experience built around the support, network, infrastructure, and funding that science founders need to bring breakthrough research to market.
For Wave Lumina, that means more runway to prove out the science behind its field-ready PFAS sensor and move toward a product environmental professionals can use in the field.
